One of the "selling points" of our house, other than dishwasher (portable) and two refrigerators (the second in the garage with a bonus bird's nest) was this "lovely" water feature...
Double click and then choose 2X large to really see the quality workmanship of our decks...You'll notice there is a section of wood not painted up on the main decking. That is where the man overboard staircase was (with no railing.) The insurance people wouldn't let us buy the house till they got rid of those stairs. Notice how cleverly they multitasked the shed, using 10 feet of it as fencing, and additionally hanging swinging gates from the side of the building, not mounted on a pole dug into the ground.
Here you see a few of the levels of deck, the randomly placed gazebo, as well as the fountain under the green roof...what you can't see are the myriad number of white Christmas tree lights that decorated all of these objects...
Here is a great shot of our shed-cum-gate holder, and you can also see fencing along the small side yard, where the rusty swing set lived and died....What was really unique about the little side yard with its own gate and such was that any children or pets that you attempted to 'corral' there could just come out around the back side of the garage.
Backyard--altered book page. Since we have started really working on big changes in the yard, I thought I would post the REALLY befores. This is what the back yard looked like when we bought the house. Look carefully. There ARE three layers of 'deck', there IS actually a flight of stairs off the main deck with no railing that was so dangerous the lender made the previous owner close it off before letting us buy. There ARE little fences EVERYWHERE. You can't see the rusty swing set on the other side of the garage. Yes, there is a fence on that little bit of grass.
